Come be a part of the Legacy Solar family! JOB DESCRIPTION The HR Coordinator is responsible for completing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the daily operations of the Human Resources department.
This includes but is not limited to assistance with employee relations, recruiting and onboarding employees, HRIS accuracy, company benefit and leaves, workers compensation, and safety compliance.
This position requires a perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels of the organization.
Key Functions (other duties may be assigned) Assists in communication and implementation of HR policies, programs and procedures; recommending new policies, programs and procedures to improve efficiency of the HR department and organization, and/or improve the employee experience Participates in various HR initiatives, supporting activities to promote employee engagements, and fosters a positive company culture Supports positive employee relations, acting as an employee advocate; builds and maintains effective relationships through frequent communication with employees and managers; responds to employee questions in a timely manner; provides counsel and support on employee relations matters Assists in the recruiting and onboarding of new employees, working cross-functionally to provide an exceptional new hire experience Oversees weekly and monthly safety meeting tracking on the Safety Scorecard, communicating to Construction Managers and Safety Coordinator when employees are not in compliance Assists Safety Coordinator with any safety related data entry for safety program; notes any discrepancies or red flags while completing these tasks Maintains filing system for company workers compensation program, keeping it updated and organized with correct documentation Maintains employee personnel files and HRIS records; compiles reports from the database and maintains proper confidentiality of the information Keeps up to date with employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance Participates in weekly Same Page meeting, coming prepared with valuable dialogue and feedback Communicates team needs as well as their own needs to HR Director Occasional travel to Rockford branch may be required Performs other duties as assigned by the HR Director Qualifications & Expectations Associates degree with 1-2 years worth of relative experience; or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Champions our Legacy Solar's people culture encouraging growth and development Must be able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and timely Must be able to take the initiative, manage multiple tasks, manage projects, and prioritize workflow Strong follow-up, analytical, and problem-solving skills required Excellent interpersonal skills required, with an ability to inspire trust and confidence with employees at all levels by professional competence, integrity, and credibility Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Adheres to all the handbook rules and regulations Office gossip will not be tolerated in any way or form Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the company HRIS system Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn company used applications, including all Google applications and Monday.
